Rovers expect Lambert stay

Bristol Rovers head coach Paul Trollope expects star striker Rickie Lambert to still be at the club after the transfer window closes.

Lambert, 26, has been linked with moves to a host of higher division sides after netting 20 goals for the Pirates so far this season.

The striker's latest effort was the winner in Tuesday's 3-2 West Country derby success over Cheltenham Town.

"As far as I am concerned Rickie is going nowhere," said Trollope.

"We have had no offers up to now and his commitment to our club was there for all to see."
