Rovers: No Coles approach

Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope has dismissed rumours suggesting that Plymouth Argyle had made a bid for Pirates defender Danny Coles.

The 26-year-old joined Rovers from Hull City in January, following a successful loan stint and quickly established himself as a first-team regular.

Trollope told the Evening Post: "We have not heard anything from Plymouth.

"We are aware that they were watching Danny for spells last season, but we have had no approach from them.

"I don't want to sell him because he has an important part to play at this football club."
