Defender Carl Regan has joined Bristol Rovers after rejecting the offer of a new contract from MK Dons. The 28-year-old right-back made 31 appearances for the Dons last season but sees a brighter future at the Memorial Stadium. "I have played against Bristol Rovers over the years and they have always been a good team to play against, a good footballing side, so I am excited to join," he told the club's official website. "I have spoken to both Paul Trollope and Lennie Lawrence and I was very impressed with what they had to say to me. They were a big part of the reason I decided to come here. "Everyone at this level must have ambitions to play higher and when I spoke to the manager and Lennie, they had ambitions to play higher as well so that was the aim. "I think consistency is the key in this league. If we are consistent all season there is a very good chance we will make the play-offs or go up."
