Rickie Lambert
Bristol Rovers : Rickie joined Rochdale from Stockport County in February 2005 . A two and a half year contrcat will keep him at Spotland until summer 2007 . Rickie began his career with Blackpool but only made a few starts before moving on to Macclesfield in 2001 . In 2003 a move to Stockport saw him become the clubs record signing in a £300,000 deal . He finished the season as top scorer for the club as well as getting the Player of the Year award .A trimming of the Stockport squad led to Rickie being allowed to leave and his move to the Shakers has seen him continue his goal scoring exploits. He is usually the link between midfield and attack but can also fill in anywhere in midfiled if needed . He is sure to play a vital role in the team this season and his ability from dead ball situations is another handy attribute for the Shakers .
