Pirates wait on Jacobson

Bristol Rovers are facing an anxious wait to discover the extent of an injury picked up by Joe Jacobson on international duty.

Defender Jacobson suffered a badly gashed leg during Wales Under-21s' victory over Malta at the weekend and is doubtful for Saturday's League One meeting with Yeovil Town.

"Joe played for Wales Under-21s again but unfortunately for him and for us he picked up an injury which looked quite bad," first-team coach Paul Trollope told the club's official website.

"We'll have to wait and see how it develops over the next 24 hours, but obviously it makes him a major doubt for the weekend."
