Pirates ship out loan trio
07 Jan 2009 - 15:19:02
Bristol Rovers have sent three players out on loan at the beginning of the January transfer window.
Andy Williams leaves the Memorial Stadium for Hereford United, just 24 hours after returning from his initial loan spell.
The striker will spend the rest of the season on loan at Edgar Street, but first-team coach Paul Trollope insisted that Williams still has a future at the club.
"He will still have another year to run on his contract and will be another year older and will have the benefit of a full season in League One behind him and he is still very much our player," Trollope said.
He added: "He's a player we chased for a long time and he still has all the attributes we knew he had and he has got a future at the club.
"We are hoping that this continuation of his loan aids his progress to benefit him when he's with us again next season."
Youngster Adam Mahdi also leaves Rovers and will spend time at Godalming Town on loan.
Josh-Klein Davies has also left on loan and is playing at Lewes, where he has made two appearances already.
