Pirates pounce for Pulis

Bristol Rovers have snapped up Stoke City midfielder Anthony Pulis on a three-month loan deal.

The 23-year-old son of Potters boss Tony, has made six appearances for the Championship side since arriving at the Britannia Stadium from Plymouth Argyle in the summer of 2006.

Since joining City, Pulis has also had a loan spell at Grimsby Town, making nine appearances for the Mariners.

He came on as a substitute in Stoke's recent FA Cup encounters with Newcastle United.
