Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope is close to sealing a deal to bring Swansea City striker Darryl Duffy to the club.
The Pirates have held talks with the 24-year-old Scot and hope to complete a £100,000 switch shortly.
"We're hoping to tie things up in the next few days," Trollope told the Evening Post. "There are still a few details to conclude, but things are looking good."
Meanwhile, Richard Walker is interesting several clubs, with Trollope adding: "Different clubs are talking about different lengths of loan, but there's been some keen interest in Richard from a number in League Two.
"Hopefully now things can move forward over the coming days."
