Phillips signs Pirates deal
01 May 2007 - 08:52:26
Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Steve Phillips has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract which will keep him at the Memorial Stadium until 2010.
Phillips joined the Pirates from city rivals Bristol City last summer and has impressed Rovers boss Paul Trollope after keeping 22 clean sheets during the course of an impressive season.
"We are delighted Steve has signed an extension to his contract," admitted Trollope.
"Since he has been with us he has shown he is one of the best keepers in the lower divisions and to secure him on a long-term deal is great news for the club."
