Oji agrees Rovers loan

Bristol Rovers have made a second move into the loan market to snap up Birmingham City defender Sam Oji on a month's loan. The 21-year-old joins fellow new boy Joe Jacobson at the Pirates, the former having agreed a similar switch from Cardiff City. Oji has made just one senior appearance for the Blues, while he also spent time on loan with Doncaster Rovers a year ago. Head coach Paul Trollope told the Evening Post: "It's not easy. Of course we'd like a big, powerful, experienced central defender, but they don't grow on trees. "Although we're looking to get in the play-offs, we're still a League Two side and that's not always an attractive proposition for players at higher clubs. "But we've always said we won't make signings just for the sake of it and we wouldn't bring anybody here if we didn't feel they could add to what we have."
