Jones joins up with Pirates

Bristol Rovers have added Daniel Jones to their squad after signing the utility player from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers for a month.

Manager Paul Trollope has taken the left-sided man who is looking to kick-start his career. He has featured in ten Wolves games in the past but has gained most of his experience at lower levels.

Jones has spent spells on loan at Northampton Town and Oldham Athletic and Trollope is looking at a permanent deal if the initial move proves to be a success.

Speaking to reporters, Trollope said: "Daniel's a player we've tracked and monitored for a long time.

"He's here for a month, initially, obviously with a view to extending it for longer and, with him being out of contract in the summer, maybe we can look at it for next year if all goes well."
