Disley eyes Rovers promotion push

Bristol Rovers midfielder Craig Disley believes the squad at the Memorial Stadium is good enough to be fighting for promotion at the end of the season.

The summer arrival from Mansfield has featured in the last four games and is hoping to be in the side to face high-flying Scunthorpe on Saturday.

It's a game Disley knows is important to secure three points from if Rovers are to get on a good run and challenge for a place in League One next season.

He told the club's official website: "It's always frustrating as a footballer when you're not playing regular first-team football. But hopefully I will have done enough with my recent performances to feature on Saturday.

"Personally speaking, I think we should be aiming for nothing less than automatic promotion this season, I have no doubt about that.

"With the squad and the players we have here we shouldn't be setting targets any less than that, and a victory against a side at the top of the table on Saturday would be a good measure of what we are capable of achieving come May next year."
