Bristol Rovers boss Ian Atkins is set to partner Junior Agogo with Richard Walker for the clash with Grimsby Town.
The Pirates manager is desperate to find a regular pairing to lead his attack, with Agogo having scored 14 leagues goals this season while no-one else has managed more than six.
Atkins told the Evening Post: "The time may have come to have a look at Richard Walker. I brought him here to score goals and he got a very good one at Oxford.
"Nobody has really seized the chance to make the other place their own and although Junior has been scoring goals for us, it's sometimes difficult to see where else they will come from.
"And if you are not scoring, it's hard to win games and give yourselves the sort of confidence you need to then go on a good run."
