Sproule suffers hamstring woe

Bristol City midfielder Ivan Sproule is unlikely to play again this year after injuring his hamstring in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Doncaster Rovers.

It is anticipated that the 28-year-old Ulsterman will be sidelined for three weeks after he suffered the problem in the first half of the Keepmoat Stadium clash.

"Our medical staff sent Ivan for a scan and it's shown up as a strain," Robins boss Gary Johnson told the club's official website.

"Everyone's really disappointed for Ivan, especially as he'd only just got back in the team. It's likely he'll be out for around three weeks. We'll give him all the time needed for recovery."
