Skuse extends Robins stay
15 Jul 2010 - 14:24:08
Bristol City midfielder Cole Skuse is delighted to have signed a new deal with the Ashton Gate-based outfit and now wants to help them push on for a place in the Premier League.
He will remain at the club until 2013 and last season's player of the year, who began his career with the Robins, is ready to kick on through the gears next term.
Skuse said: "The end of the last season finished on a big high for me with the award. Then I got a phone call from the club to say they had a new contract offer. It didn't take me long to sign it at all.
"I've always been a Bristol City fan, all my family and friends are based here. Some say to me I'm stuck in the comfort zone but that's not true.
"We're in the Championship, pushing for the Premier League with a new manager and everything about the club, including the new training ground and stadium, is moving in the right direction."
