Bristol City have confirmed their interest in Kilmarnock's Scotland Under-21s striker Steven Naismith.
The 20-year-old is almost certain to leave Rugby Park this summer, with Rangers having already had a bid for the forward rejected by Killie.
Robins chief executive Colin Sexstone told the club's official website: "I can quite categorically say we have not made a formal bid for Naismith.
"That's not to say there have not been talks between the two managers, that's a different thing.
"We are interested in all sorts of players and our manager, Gary Johnson, is out looking and strikers are a target.
"I'm sure Steven Naismith and other strikers are on his radar, but there has been nothing with regards a formal bid for Naismith."
