Robins step up keeper bid

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson is stepping up his search for a new goalkeeper after former loan man Wayne Hennessey suffered an injury.

The player returned to Wolves after picking up an arm injury which means the Robins only have the services of Adriano Basso to call upon in the goalkeeper department.

That has left Johnson scouring the market in the hope of drafting in some cover in case the Brazilian picks up a knock.

He told the club's official website: "We're doing all we can to have a keeper on the bench who can take over if Basso loses a bit of confidence.

"We're still trying to bring a loan keeper in and we've got seven days to do that."
