Robins snare Adebola

Dele Adebola will play a part in Bristol City's attempt to win promotion from the Championship after agreeing an 18-month contract at Ashton Gate.

The 32-year-old striker moves to the Robins from Coventry City for an undisclosed transfer fee.

The former Crewe Alexandra, Birmingham City and Crystal Palace forward joined the Sky Blues in the summer of 2003, finding the net on 36 occasions in 182 appearances for the club.

He also enjoyed two brief loan spells at Bradford City and Burnley early on in his time with Coventry.

Meanwhile, Gary Johnson has allowed Alex Russell to remain on loan at Cheltenham Town for the rest of the season.
