Robins ready for play-offs
05 May 2008 - 15:09:49
Bristol City manager Gary Johnson is relishing the prospect of a Championship play-off semi-final clash with Crystal Palace.
The Robins ended their regular campaign with a 3-0 victory at home to Preston North End, leaving them to face the in-form Eagles for a place in a Wembley showpiece.
Johnson told the club's official website: "We know what to expect from any Neil Warnock side and Palace are in very good form.
"But we are proud of finishing fourth in the Championship after 46 games and will go there in confident mood.
"We were going to look forward to the play-offs whoever our opponents were and the way we played today gives us great heart.
"We had to get our goals back, our football back and now we're ready to go into the play-offs."
