Robins lose injured Elliott

Bristol City will be without Marvin Elliott for six weeks after the midfielder suffered a torn groin muscle.

Elliott was injured in the first half of Tuesday's 2-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle at Home Park.

"It's a very unfortunate injury and he will be a big miss for us," manager Gary Johnson told the club's official website.

"At these times I always feel very sorry for the player. Marvin is such a great competitor that he feel very disappointed that he has to miss a group of matches.

"He's a great lover of playing football and we'll have to hold him back so he doesn't return too soon."
