Robins in groundshare talks

Bristol City chairman Stephen Lansdown has revealed the club is considering a proposal from city rivals Bristol Rovers to groundshare at Ashton Gate.

Rovers are looking for a temporary home while their Memorial Stadium ground is redeveloped and have approached the Robins with a view to moving into Ashton Gate.

The Pirates have also revealed tentative plans to groundshare with Swindon Town, Cheltenham Town and Bath City during the 18-month development process.

"We owe it from a business perspective to look at all things because we're also talking to Bristol Rugby club," Lansdown confirmed to BBC Radio Bristol.

"If it's good for us we'll go for it but it's not just about the money, it's the practicalities of it."
