Bristol City are reportedly on the verge of clinching the signing of Swansea City striker Lee Trundle on a three-year deal.
Swansea have reluctantly decided to give Trundle, who did not travel with the rest of the squad for their pre-season tour of Holland, the opportunity to talk with the Robins.
Bristol City manager Gary Johnson said of the 30-year-old: "This is about our jigsaw. I've looked at things and asked myself what we're currently missing.
"We're on the case for Trundle, but I never say much before a deal is concluded.
"He's a little bit different from the ordinary. Players who have that bit of glitter about them are not run of the mill, are they?"
