Jamie McCombe
Bristol City : a giant at 6ft 5in , Jamie is a highly rated centre half who came through the ranks at Scunthorpe and scored on his debut against Darlington after an injury crisis thrust him into the spotlight at the end of the 2001/2002 season . After being granted a free transfer by Scunthorpe McCombe was set to join Lincoln in January 2004 until a last minute hitch when Scunthorpe official blocked the move . The Football League had to intervene and declared that McCombe could join the Imps provided they give Scunthorpe seven days notice , after which McCombe signed a deal with Lincoln until the end of the season . McCombe then signed a new one year contract in July 2004 and extended this by another two years in March 2005
