Orr U-turn on Robins future
09 Jan 2009 - 07:06:51
Bristol City have handed a new contract to defender Bradley Orr.
The deal, which will keep Orr at the club until the end of the 2010-11 season, was thrashed out after the player had rejected two previous contract offers to extend his stay at Ashton Gate.
Orr had been expected to leave the club due to his original stance on a new contract and had been placed on the transfer list.
"We're delighted he's staying. I feel he's had enough time to make the right decision," manager Gary Johnson told the club's official website.
"And obviously he believes this is the right decision to make."
Orr, 26, is six matches shy of 200 appearances for the club and the former Newcastle man has figured in the Robins' last four games since ironing out his differences with Johnson.
