No change in Basso's City situation
The 34-year-old Brazilian shocked the Robins by handing in a transfer request on the eve of the season and has subsequently lost his place as the club's number one. Chairman Steve Lansdown recently urged Basso to decide where his future lies by either signing a new deal or confirming he would leave at the end of the season, but as yet there has been no change to the situation. "Adriano and I have been talking but there has been no change," Lansdown told the Bristol Evening Post. "It is a policy of mine not to discuss players' contracts in public but Adriano and I understand one another and are happy with the situation."
