Bristol City goalkeeper Dean Gerken denied top-of-the table Newcastle victory with a series of superb saves.Marlon Harewood fired against the post early on for the home side after Peter Lovenkrands had sent him clear. Gerken, only playing after Adriano Basso was injured in the warm-up, kept out Danny Guthrie's volley then turned away Kevin Nolan's header.
