Murray happy with sub role
20 Aug 2007 - 09:53:27
Bristol City super-sub Scott Murray insists he is happy with his bench role despite scoring on each of his Championship appearances to date.
The experienced winger came off the bench to score the equaliser in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Blackpool just days after doing the same in the opening day 2-2 stalemate with QPR.
"You've got to be professional about these things," he told the club's official website.
"If I had a sulk every time I was dropped then I'd probably be back home driving a forklift. You've got to remain focused and keep your head down.
"I've been a professional for 14 years and being on the bench is not the worst experience I've ever had.
"I'd rather be on the bench than sat in the stands."
