Millen calls for player feedback
Published : 20 Sep 2010 13:30:25
Boss Keith Millen has challenged Bristol City's under-achieving players to prove they are worth a place in the team.Millen responded to the home defeat to Coventry on Saturday by demanding every player take home and study a recording of the game. He wants those who think they played well enough to deserve selection for the next game - at Burnley at the weekend - to come forward and tell him so."I gave all the players a DVD to take home because I want them to analyse it. It will be interesting to see what they have to say," said Millen."I want them to come up with good and bad things from the game, as players and as a team. If any of them can still come and knock on my door and tell me they should be in the team, then great. I look forward to them telling me the reasons why they think that."I don't want to spend the weekend watching the video myself and then tell them what my thoughts are. It is easy for them to sit there, nod their heads and agree. I want to hear what they think."If they have not had a good game or they have not done enough to affect the game, then they need to realise that. I think the players have to look at themselves because they are the ones who have to do something about it."
