McCombe boost for Robins

Bristol City have received a boost with the news that defender Jamie McCombe has not fractured his cheekbone for the second time this season.

McCombe was taken to hospital after sustaining a head injury during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest.

The 25-year-old defender was sidelined back in September for four weeks after fracturing his cheekbone against Derby County.

"The good news is there's no fracture," manager Gary Johnson told the club's official website.

"We were certainly worried at the time given what happened to Jamie earlier in the season."
