Maynard hands Robins a huge lift

Maynard has not started a game for the Robins since sustaining a thigh problem against Coventry at the beginning of February, but was fit enough to come off the bench in the home games with Leicester and West Brom. The forward was then ruled out of last weekend's goalless draw against Ipswich but, after netting twice for the reserves on Tuesday, he is now raring to go. "I feel ready to start and play a full game if selected," he told the Bristol Evening Post. "I was disappointed not to come on at the weekend and I'm champing at the bit to play against Doncaster."
