Johnson wants winning mentality

New manager Gary Johnson is hoping to instil a winning mentality from top to bottom at Bristol City.

The Robins find themselves third from bottom in League One and Johnson plans to shake things up on the training ground in an attempt to change his side's fortunes on the pitch.

The ex-Yeovil boss said: "Everyone will know, see and feel that there's a renewed spirit about the place.

"Bristol City fans have been brought up on a diet of good football and while we know we can't win every game, it doesn't mean we cannot put our hearts and souls into every performance.

"The response from the players to me, and what I have introduced to the training ground, has been first-class and I don't say things like that lightly."
