Bristol City boss Gary Johnson feels the international break arrived at a good time for his players as it allowed many to recover from injury.
Johnson told some of his squad to take a three-day break over the weekend and he believes it will have helped them recharge their batteries ahead of a Championship clash with second-placed West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Speaking to Evening Post, Johnson said: "They will all have benefited from spending quality time with family and friends.
"When you live in one another's pockets on an almost daily basis, sometimes you need to get away and be with other people.
"They say a change is as good as a rest and I know the lads will have benefited from the break."
