Johnson hails Brooker

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson hailed Steve Brooker as the "complete striker" after his brace helped earn a 3-1 win over fellow strugglers Rotherham.

Scott Murray was also on the mark at Ashton Gate to extend the Robins' unbeaten run to four games.

Johnson was delighted with the application of his side, but reserved special praise for hitman Brooker.

He said: "It looked as though we had 14 players out there and that is a tribute to the work-rate and quality of the players.

"Three or four players are now playing at the top of their form and they were backed up by the rest of the side.

"Steve Brooker is the complete striker and now he is fit, we are seeing what he is all about."
