Jailed duo back with Robins
14 Sep 2006 - 13:51:17
Bristol City captain Steve Brooker and midfielder Bradley Orr were apologetic after returning to Ashton Gate following their release from prison on Thursday.
The pair were jailed for 28 days for the part they played in a nightclub brawl, but have now been released from Leyhill Prison and are looking forward to getting back into action.
Brooker told the club's official website: "I greatly regret what happened. While I think the sentence was harsh, I know I let down the club and the supporters."
Orr added: "I can't wait to put it all behind me.
"The best way to make up for it is for me to give 100 per cent on the pitch and help the team achieve promotion."
Fellow team-mate David Partridge is still behind bars after being jailed for two months following the same incident, while Scott Brown was handed 120 hours community service.
