Bristol City defender Liam Fontaine is close to a first-team return after coming through a reserve outing against Reading unscathed.
The 23-year-old has not featured for the Robins since late September due to ankle ligament damage, but is in contention to face West Bromwich Albion.
Assistant manager Keith Millen told the Evening Post: "Liam played the full 90 minutes and showed us what we wanted to see.
"There were no problems with his injury, which was good and we were also pleased with his fitness.
"Liam is in good shape and he will definitely be in contention for the West Brom game.
"We will probably give him another run-out when we play Southampton at their Marchwood training ground next Monday, just to improve his sharpness."
