Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has revealed captain Louis Carey is 'almost ready' to return to first-team action.
Carey completed 75 minutes for the reserve side in midweek on his comeback from a six-week lay off due to an Achilles problem.
However, Johnson has refused to confirm whether his skipper will take part in Saturday's Championship clash with Sheffield Wednesday.
"All I will say is he is almost ready," he told the club's official website.
"In poor conditions it was good to see Louis come through the game without any problems."
