Bristol City have been handed a major boost after it was confirmed that injured duo Nicky Maynard and Danny Haynes do not require surgery to cure ongoing problems.
The strikers remained in England as the squad flew out to Sweden for their pre-season tour, with Maynard struggling with a knee problem and Haynes suffering from groin and thigh issues.
But following meetings with specialists in London on Tuesday, it was confirmed that both players would not require surgical procedures.
Speaking to the club's official website, assistant manager Keith Millen said: "The news is good, neither require any surgery.
"They will just continue their rehabilitation back in England and we look forward to seeing them on our return."
