Brown blow for Robins

Wednesday Dec 13 2006 08:55

Bristol City have been handed a major injury blow with the news that Scott Brown suffered a suspected broken leg in a reserve team outing.

The 21-year-old midfielder now looks set to miss a large chunk of the season after picking up the injury in the second string 4-0 defeat at Cheltenham.

"It's been a bad day all round. It was a fair challenge, nothing malicious, but Browny has gone straight off to hospital," Robins coach Alan Walsh told the club's official website.

"The Cheltenham doctor immediately said they will be treating it as a left leg break injury. We've just got to wait for the verdict from the X-rays."
