Striker Steve Brooker is set to leave Bristol City after a fee for the player was agreed with Doncaster Rovers.
Brooker has been on loan at the South Yorkshire outfit and is now to discuss personal terms at the Keepmoat Stadium.
City chief executive Colin Sextone said on the club's official website: "We've agreed on a fee with Doncaster and now it's up to Steve to discuss personal terms with them.
"Nothing is likely to be completed until after the weekend."
However, there could be a new arrival at the club in the shape of Izzy Iriekpen. The defender has been on trial at Ashton Gate after leaving Scunthorpe United.
A move to Scottish Premier League side Hamilton broke down, with their boss Billy Reid saying at the weekend: "I think he's going to sign for Bristol City."
