Betsy in to boost Robins

Bristol City have landed striker Kevin Betsy from Wycombe Wanderers in a deal worth an initial £150,000.

Betsy was paraded in front of the Ashton Gate crowd before Saturday's 2-2 FA Cup fourth round draw with Middlesbrough and is in line to make his debut in Wednesday's League One clash with Cheltenham Town.

"Kevin gives us Championship athleticism and he's been Wycombe's best player this season," Robins boss Gary Johnson told the club's official website.

"We tried to get him earlier but Wycombe wanted to keep him throughout their Carling Cup run - so thankfully Chelsea knocked them out or this deal might not have gone through.

"He's a quality player and enhances our squad further. A little while ago we were struggling in terms of wingers, but now in Brian Wilson and Kevin Betsy we've got two versatile lads.

"We're still hopeful of bringing one more player in but if that doesn't materalise then I'm happy with the squad we've put together."
