Brazilian goalkeeper Adriano Basso has been handed a contract to keep him at Bristol City until the end of the year.
Basso was initially given a month-long deal after impressing manager Gary Johnson during a trial spell at Ashton Gate, but will now stay on until December 31.
Johnson also hinted a longer deal could be on the cards for the shot-stopper if he continued to impress as Steve Phillips' understudy.
He told the club's official website: "Adriano's a good lad who has done well in training and for the reserves. We've now got more time to watch him in action."
