Akinde keen to get started

Bristol City striker John Akinde is excited to have been given the opportunity to join League One side Wycombe Wanderers.

He spent a successful spell with the Chairboys last time and scored seven goals in just 11 appearances as they gained promotion from League Two and Akinde is hoping for similar success this time around.

Speaking to Bristol City's official website, he said: "It'll be great to get some games under my belt in the next month.

"I had a good time at Wycombe last season and I still know most of the squad down there. I'm looking forward to getting started."
