Ajax friendly pivotal in Sno capture

Johnson snapped up the former Celtic midfielder on a season-long loan from the Dutch giants on transfer deadline day. Sno caught Johnson's eye in a pre-season friendly at Ashton Gate in July and he is delighted to have got his man. He told the Bristol Evening Post: "It just goes to show what can happen in these situations. I don't think anyone thought losing to Ajax was so great at the time, but it's ended up benefiting us. "Because he played here and received a standing ovation from our fans when he was substituted, Evander was able to make a quick decision when we came in for him. "We've signed a quality player and it wouldn't have happened had we not had the game with Ajax. It's all about making contacts."
