Adebola rejects Robins offer

Veteran striker Dele Adebola seems certain to be leaving Bristol City this summer after turning down the offer of a new Ashton Gate contract.

The 34-year-old, who has scored ten goals for the Robins in the Championship this term, was upset after only being offered a 12-month deal.

"He plays his cards close to his chest but we offered a year and he said he could get somewhere else for two," said boss Gary Johnson.

"We'll work very hard to find a striker to take his place if that's the case."

Adebola has been linked with Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday recently.
