Trollope: Williams key for Rovers

Williams' career with the Pirates looked to be heading for an inauspicious end last summer when he was transfer-listed.[LNB]But that decision was reversed recently after the former Hereford player had impressed several times as a substitute, playing wide on the right. Restored to his favoured position up front for this game, Williams raced onto Pat Baldwin's 10th-minute pass to shoot past David Lucas and two minutes later provided the low cross for Jeff Hughes to net from close range.[LNB]Trollope said: "We worked hard on our attacking play during the week after a poor effort at Colchester and today we looked a threat throughout.[LNB]"I'm particularly pleased for Andy Williams, who has worked tremendously hard to turn things around. It was our decision to transfer list him and he made us change our minds with some impact performances from the bench.[LNB]"Now he is a key part of our plans and his versatility will serve us well over the rest of the season. We thought his height, power and pace might expose Swindon and that's what happened. We still need to strengthen the squad in January and hopefully a couple of new faces will help boost what we have already."[LNB][LNB]
