Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope is hopeful of signing a new striker in time for Monday's clash with Charlton.
Rovers currently have a plethora of injuries with eight first-team players in the treatment room, and Trollope has targeted a new striker as a priority.
Speculation has linked West Brom forward Chris Wood with a move to the Memorial Stadium, and Trollope is hoping to tie up a deal for the unnamed player on Sunday.
"We're hoping to tie a new signing up on Sunday. The club we are getting him from has asked to use him in the FA Cup to cover themselves," he told the club's official website.
"We are aware of the need for reinforcements and we are aware of the need to get players back from injury as quickly as we can so we can get on with the rest of the season."
