Trollope targets Pools victory

Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope believes Saturday`s trip to Hartlepool provides a good opportunity for his side to continue their recent impressive form. The Pirates have won five of their last seven matches in all competitions, and the 2-1 home victory over Rochdale at the weekend moved them to within three points of third-placed Bournemouth in the League One table. Trollope`s team are now preparing to meet Pools at a ground that has brought them some good results in recent seasons, with three wins in their last four visits to Victoria Park. "We will go there in confident mood," said Trollope. "Our away form has been decent, although the result at Swindon wasn't what we wanted, but it seems to be a ground that favours us despite it being a long trip. "Hartlepool have picked up some good victories as well this season and are capable on their day so we can't go there thinking it's a lucky ground and we are going to simply turn up and win. "We need to work hard this week, brush up on quite a few things in training and prepare properly so we go their in a good frame of mind and looking to push ourselves even further up the table."
