Trollope praises lethal Lambert
Lambert, who scored two in Rovers' 6-1 win over the Bulls earlier in the season, was also made captain for the game.
And first-team coach Trollope said: "Rickie has been a leader for us not only with his goals but his play so I gave him the honour which he gladly accepted.
"Rickie had a great night, not only with his goals but with his all-round contribution, it was a great performance.
"We gave Hereford a lot of respect as they had beaten some decent teams and I am sure they were confident going into the game.
"We knew we would have to get to a good level in order to beat them and we did that."
