Trollope confident of top 10 finish

The Pirates ended a run of five consecutive league defeats by beating Carlisle on Saturday and are just two points outside the top six in eighth place.

Rovers made a flying start to the season to leave their fans dreaming of promotion, but Trollope insists improving on last season's 11th-placed finish remains their objective.

Trollope said: "Early in the season the fixture list was kind to us, but then we played Norwich and Leeds and we weren't at the same level as them.

"We feel we are where we should be now, a top 10 team. We're on the tails of the play-offs but we said we wanted to finish in the top 10 and I think we can do that."
