Terriers chief denies Lambert bid

The 27-year-old was League One's joint top goalscorer with 29 strikes this season sparking rumours Huddersfield were lining up a £750,000 bid.[LNB]The League One side tracked Lambert during the January transfer window but Clibbens was keen to downplay the speculation.[LNB]"We have had no contact with the player, his representative or Bristol Rovers since then," he told the Huddersfield Examiner.[LNB]"When someone with Lambert's reputation says he is willing to move, it's inevitable that clubs who are perceived to have money to spend will be linked with them, but speculation that we have tabled a bid is well wide of the mark."[LNB][LNB]
